I'm a writer, editor, and rising senior at Wellesley College studying history with a focus on religion and U.S. history. I'm interested in journalism and issues of freedom of expression and censorship. I have pursued my interest in communication and news through a trip to Israel as part of Project Interchange's Campus Media Leaders Delegation, and as a participant in the first National College Reporter Day at the White House. I currently serve as the the Managing Editor of The Wellesley News and as an editorial intern for Boston Magazine. Previously, I have worked as a research intern with Internet Monitor at Harvard's Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society and as an editorial intern at Index on Censorship.

I’m available for freelance work. Contact me at mary@meisenzahl.com
